AFC Heating and Cooling

AFC has been wonderful. My father in law recommended them after we struggled with another local company. AFC was at our house within an hour and provided expert service. Dan was the serviceman who assisted us and I will be requesting him in the future. He’s the man.

I just have to say how impressed I am with AFC. Seriously.

My AC/Furnace stopped working after a fierce thunderstorm. I called AFC since they were the ones who installed my furnace. They arrived in 20 minutes, diagnosed and fixed the problem, and said: "No charge! You're still under warranty! Have a great day!" Our AC began working immediately. No stress. No worries. It just works.

They were the sub contractor on our new home through Hearthside Homes whereby they installed the heating and air unit. We had a problem with the balance of the system. Some rooms were freezing cold while the next room were hot on the 2nd floor of our home. Those rooms are over the garage but I had a mini split heat pump installed in the garage and it helped but the problem was still there. We paid extra to have the 2nd floor be separated with it's own thermostat so this would not happen.

They came out within the warranty period and fixed the issue by adding a vent in the closet directly above the garage and increasing the size of a vent in the bathroom next to it.

Most of their staff are very professional and easy to work with. I appreciate their willingness to make it right.

I'd HIGHLY RECOMMEND this company to anyone looking for a new Furnace or A/C System. AFC is one of the most honest companies I've dealt with since living in Leawood, KS (I've lived here 1 year now and have found a lot of companies like to apply the 'Leawood Premium' to all sorts of house projects and other services). Matt was extremely professional and up-front about pricing and the various replacement options. He even offered a courtesy visit the following day to inspect 1 of my 3 furnaces that was having issues. AFC's pricing came in about 40% lower than another company I had out (OP Heating and Cooling) and they didn't try to over-sell me on more expensive units, service contracts, etc. They had a crew out the following day to install the new furnace, and the guys were extremely professional. AFC is such a fair and honest company and I will never use another hvac company again. I had three different companies come out to diagnose what was wrong with my system after my heating system wasn’t working. Bob Hamilton and another large company in Lee’s summit quoted me for two different parts that were going to be around $800-$900 each and was told my seven year old unit was on its last leg and wanted to sell me a new system. AFC came out and found that my pipe that drains condensation had build up not allowing the condensation to drain and fixed the problem in 5 minutes with no additional charge. Had I listened to the other companies I could have wasted thousands of dollars for something that AFC did for free and in no time. Bottom line if you want fair service go to AFC.

Had a warranty repair needed on my AC unit. The techs were timely and resolved the issue by the next day (waiting on a part). There was a misunderstanding about the cost, so I recommend getting any quotes in writing to avoid any confusion. However, the owner was very responsive and cleared everything up quickly.

We used AFC after purchasing a Lennox unit from Lowe's (this means they pick the company). Lese than 3 years later we have a bad coil which needs replaced. They only offer 1 year guarantee & didn't register our unit cutting the manufacturer's warranty from 10 years to 5 years. Do your research first, go with a company that stands behind their work for more than a year. When I called both times first to see if they could come out and again when I knew what was wrong the people on the phone could careless. They just want money don't care about quality of service or the customer. I'm so disappointed!!!

These folks are great. When I've had an issue with my unit, I give them a call. They are are easy to work with and conscientious with my money. The gentleman that has answered all the service calls to my house, David, is an exceptionally nice guy. If you have an issue with your HVAC, give these people a call. They make a stressful process easier to deal with.

AFC will be the only HVAC I ever call from now on, from the office staff that set up my appointment to the extremely knowledgeable and friendly tech that got my house cooled off for my babies, I can't praise they're customer service enough
