I was caught with a C/A unit that wouldn't power on during the sudden heat wave we had in May 2020. Total Comfort was willing to come out within 24 hours to get me working again. Less than an hour onsite and my C/A was working. Ken is very professional with a mask for COVID and sanitary slippers to protect floors. He talked about the unit and answered all of my questions before leaving. Total Comfort has all of my HVAC business now. Highly recommended.

I highly recommend Total Comfort Heating and Air Conditioning after an awesome experience during a snowstorm that pushed temperatures down into the negative digits. As things go, our 20 year old furnace stopped working; brrrrrrrrrrrr in the middle of the storm. I first tried to call the larger companies in Town and experienced unreliable response times and technicians who were not concerned about our plight; it was my perception that they were more interested in their cell phones and other calls than the troubles at our house. After two different technicians without a repair, I decided to reach out to Total Comfort Heating and Air Conditioning on the recommendation from a good friend. From the very first conversation with Ro, the companies Executive Assistant, I had a very good feeling. Ro assured me that they would get to the bottom of the problem. She told me that she would contact the owner and call me back. She asked for the model number of my furnace. Shortly after that, I received a call from Ro telling me that the owner of the company Ken Kalke was in route to my house to check on the problem. She said that Ken had parts for my furnace with him. After four days without heat, Ken came into the house, repaired the furnace in 20 minutes and diagnosed two serious problems with the furnace; a cracked heat exchange module and an inducer with bad bearings. I decided to stick with the crisis repair, the igniter module and figured that repair would get us through until we could plan for a total furnace and air conditioner replacement. The decision was based on the cost of replacing the inducer and heat exchange module. After having heat for about 45 minutes, the inducer stopped, grinding the furnace to a halt. I immediately called Ken on the cell number he gave me and he worked out a plan to provide us with quotes on a replacement system. That night, Ken did what he said providing us with two quality options; both including rebates. After we made our selection, Ken assured us that he would have the system replaced ASAP. He did this. His three man crew responded quickly and during another snowstorm, replaced both the furnace and air conditioning unit in less than 5 hours. The crew was on time, professional and extremely skilled at their craft. They really seemed like they cared and every step of the way, kept me and my wife in the loop on what they were doing. One of the technicians even gave me his personal cell to call if we had any issues or problems and wanted to contact someone after hours. After the crew left, and the heat was back on, Ken inquired about the service and quality of work that was done. I passed on my sincere thanks to he and his crew and Ro. A bit later, Ro contacted us and asked if we were happy. Unbelievable!!!!!!
I am very happy with Total Comfort Heating and Air Conditioning and would not hesitate to highly recommend them for all heating and air conditioning needs for anyone. We will be customers for life with this company… almost forgot, Ken saved us over $1,000.00 in rebates and refunds. I can’t guarantee that the rebates and refunds will be the same for you, but I can say, that if given the chance Total Comfort Heating and Air Conditioning will make you a believer too!

Ken let me know of a program called NYSERDA that covers energy improvement for income eligible people in New York State. Total Comfort handled it all. From the energy audit, paperwork and the repairs that were needed to make my home energy efficient. And because of my income all the work was covered under the program. I couldn't be happier.
