As a contractor I know how hard it is to find good people. Ohio Heating & Refrigeration is full of great people! Having had them work with me through multiple projects, they were on top of every aspect of each job. They are my first and only call for all my HVAC problems and needs.
I will never use this place again, I am very upset that i've been trying to get a quote for a walk in freezer and install since January. They keep giving me the run around. Im sick of the games. Everytime i call they act like they are going to work on it or they will say let me work on this and give you a call by the end of the day. I never get a call and nothing never happens...
I called to take a look at my heating system. They sent a technician who come to look at heat, he only stayed in for 30-minutes, charged as 1hr work on top of that it took him 2hrs to a write a freaking receipt and they expected me to pay him sit in the car write a write a receipt.
After talking to their customer service they told me that they wouldn't charge me the extra hours the technician was writing the receipt, but after looking at my credit card statement I found out that they actually charge my credit card.
I will never trust this guys with your credit card as they may charge any price they want.
They don't know what they doing and I will never call them again.
DO NOT USE! They came out on 3 occasions at the end of last summer to fix our air conditioning unit and represented that the problem was fixed, but this proved not to be true. The representatives were not competent to repair this type of unit although they claim expertise. They also allegedly ordered a part that needed to be installed, but never returned to install it. Our A/C unit is still not functioning and we have now tried to set up appointments on 4 occasions and they have been completely non-responsive. We essentially paid for them to do nothing.
Horrible company. Will try to scam you out of money for garbage work. Customer service is a joke.
Response to Owner: We were still under our 90 day warranty. Why should I pay $132 for a technician to come and simply flip a switch on the breaker and tell me the problem is fixed, which wasn't the problem at all and because you knew we were under warranty your action was to do a temporary fix to get around the contract. Very unprofessional.
DON'T LISTEN to their reply! It is the right company! Thats the number I called!
Gave me an estimate of time. Failed to show up. Blew past every estimate time with 0 notification. I was next on the list for two days. I called 3 times. Last time I was told they would call me right back after speaking with dispatch. No return call after 3 hours. Went with a competitor who was actually willing to help!
Having not hearing anything for two months after I signed and put a down payment on my work, I had to call EVERY OTHER day to try and talk to someone who knew the progress of my project. They were supposed to send someone over to discuss designs. Every call was met with an answering machine, a "let me call you back" with no call back, or "we don't have a record of this project", "someone accidentally filed it as complete", "we're waiting on parts"... lied to at every turn until I threatened to contact the better business beuro and talked to someone "in charge" and told me he doesn't know anything about the delay or why but the guys are on their way tomorrow (during my work day) BEFORE DESIGNS OR SCHEDULING. Came by and did the incorrect work, with extra stuff I specially told the quote guy I didn't want -- left a huge mess I had to scrub off the walls myself -- now I'm here with only half of what I paid for them to do done and am trying to scramble enough money to pay someone else to fix the job they did, MONTHS late and with useless metal fabs I have no use for. I do not recommend this business, especially for all you other small businesses trying to get a start out there.
I recently contacted Ohio Heating for service at my home. The entire staff was professional, knowledgeable and courteous. The technician called me before completing the work to explain what needed to be done, the costs, and the timeframe for the work to be done.
We had a broken furnace on a Friday evening and agreed to have it repaired at the overtime rate. The tech (Joe) promised that if it broke again over the weekend, someone would be over to fix it at no additional charge. The furnace stopped working on Saturday and now I'm being told there will be a new charge to fix it again. I'm quite disappointed. Ohio Heating does not provide any guarantee for their services...not even for one day and their technicians say just about anything you want to hear knowing that when they leave your house, none of their promises will be kept.
My old electronic air filter and metal box was removed and replaced with a iwave-r air cleaner. The old ductwork was replaced with new sheet metal and new a furnace filter box. The workmanship by Kevin and Dan, residential installers was superior. Service date Tuesday, February 2, 2021.
