Have been a customer for over 20 years... service has always been great! All problem calls for service were handled promptly no matter what time of day. We have our boiler serviced yearly and the techs have always been on time, courteous, friendly and kept the area clean. When I was experiencing difficulty maneuvering the (at the time) new website, I called the office and was patiently talked through the steps to get me online. I would highly recommend Woods Heating. SIX stars!!

I don't recommend this company. While I was a customer, I encountered multiple problems with them. Foremost, their prices were always high (as compared to other local oil companies). Secondly, their customer service is poor. The people who answer the phone always sound irritated and like they hate their job. Related to that, I had to call a few times for boiler/oil emergencies and they did nothing to help. Their attitude was "that's your problem not ours." The ONLY positive thing I have to say about them is that when service techs did come to my home, they were always very nice and helpful. I currently use Glow oil and I'm much happier with them.

I needed a temporary tank before the last winter storm. They were quick to ensure my family had heat before the end of that day. I am truly grateful for their responsiveness and their ability to get things done under pressure! I highly recommend them!

Generally service is quite good, but their ceiling price program is a big disappointment. My ceiling price is $4.569/gal. I just checked about 15 other RI home heating oil suppliers and the prices are between $3.80 and $4.00. This difference can amount to well over $100.00 per normal delivery. I would have been better off paying market price. This will be corrected with another company at the end of the contract term.

Been with Woods for a couple of years since purchasing my home. Had been good until last fall. Never came out for my “next years boiler service is free” deal. Just straight up never came.
In the meantime I had been talking to Arthur about converting to gas, with the same company.
What do they do? Hit me with a surprise delivery at the end of March, KNOWING I was looking to convert in the spring.
So I held off. Not losing a grand worth of oil over it. I called to explain and they did provide the free boiler service they were supposed to to make up for it, and offered to take me off any automatic deliveries so it wouldn’t happen again.

Well they just came to fill me up. I called at 1/4 of a tank as instructed, and I budgeted based on going rates in the state. Too bad Woods is WAY higher than the average. What works out to $350 per fill higher.

I gave 2 stars because the service guys have been awesome, and even Arthur was respectful and explained well in the conversion evaluation.
But their inflated rates, less than kind customer service over the phone, and sneaky deliveries….are just not worth it.

I moved into this house in Summer of 2021 and had my HVAC system tuned up by Woods in Fall of 2021, having signed a two year service contract with them. The oil baseboard heat has never worked great but I thought it was just an inefficient system. I had the RI energy guy come out for an evaluation earlier this week and he told me that there is something wrong with the boilers as the system should be more efficient. I had Woods come out and turns out THEY messed up my system by turning off the circulator in Fall of 2021. The repairman admitted this to me. So now I have paid probably thousands of dollars in extra oil (to Woods!) because they made my system far less efficient for almost two winters. Obviously, I am moving to another oil provider and would advise to never use this company.

Lost heat during the coldest day of the year, and they came as soon as possible. I realy appreciated the fast service, knowing I wasn’t the only one having a problem. The technician was very nice, and knew right away what to do. Thank you

Wonderful people and service. Took care of me as fast as possible because I had no heat and needed a new furnace. The price was reasonable and they were willing to work with me about timely payment.
