Wood's Heating Service

The service we received from Wood's Heating Service after a recent problem with our minisplit system was horrible. They canceled, rescheduled, no-showed, and even showed up at 7:20 pm without telling us they were coming (we weren't home). They wouldn't commit to even a date/time range--they said that we needed to wait for a tech to call and tell us they were on their way--maybe that day, maybe the next day, or maybe next week. They failed to turn on the freon valve to a unit they serviced, which caused the whole system to shut down during that horrible heat wave in August, then it took them a week of us hounding them non-stop to get them to come out and fix it, then they billed us $75 for the service call to fix the problem they caused. We were very disappointed--the installation two years ago was just fine, but their service this summer was terrible.

Woods heating and Oil is a great company. We can always depend on them to be there when we need them. A great staff offering outstanding service. We're happy we found them! Real pros!

Coming from the midwest, I hadn't heard of an oil furnace, let alone tried to keep one (as old as I am) up and running. Technicians been consistently professional, able - and patient with me... They've also replaced some refrigerant line that pitted, so keep them in mind if you need mini-splits installed or fixed. Administrative staff are responsive when I needed to discuss plans and prices, too.

Ordered on Wednesday morning with low oil and was told Friday. Ran out of oil on Sunday and when I called on Monday they told me they weren’t sure when I would get my delivery. I mentioned I was completely out and she asked if I was a regular customer or not, I had ordered one time before and I asked why that mattered and was told “I don’t make the rules” and that I should be considerate that my “emergency request” was being taken. Called another oil company that delivered within 3 hours of my call. Being a first time home buyer I expected more from a reputable name.

Great service from Woods. A friendly, capable service person was dispatched promptly and had us up and running again quickly. Can't ask for anything better! Everyone we've dealt with at Woods has been friendly and professional.

Technician response and service is great!! Oil prices... Not so much.

James Blankenship was the maintenance person who installed a new pump on my heat pump unit. He was very professional and polite and knowledgeable. I made a phone call to report water in my basement around 5:30 one day and he was there the next day before 2. I would recommend Woods. They have done regular maintenance on my unit for over 5 years.

From customer service to the technicians several of them came to my house they were true professionals and new exactly how to perform their jobs. I wouldn't definitely rate woods five stars. Keep up the good work I will remain a loyal customer of woods heating and the services that they provide.
