Excellent company & great to work with. We had our boiler breakdown & after speaking with a few different company’s we opted for woods.
The install was scheduled very quickly (it is the dead of winter) & whilst it took 3 days to install/ complete they service guys were fantastic.
On the first day they were there from 7.30am -7pm & insisted they stay until they had the heat working. Our boiler was a complicated install & at all times the staff were courteous & very clean (no mess whatsoever).
We had a minor issue shortly after install & after one call at 7am we had our same technician round at 7.30am to rectify.
My heating equipment stopped working today, it was below freezing outside. It got really, really cold inside my house. I called Woods heating, the lady on the phone was knowledgeable, friendly, and said that the pipes in my house could freeze in this weather so she sent a tech to my house right away. It took maybe an hour for the tech to arrive. There was snow, ice, and sleet on the road today so I don't know how he managed to get here so quick. But he got here, took an assessment of the boiler equipment in my basement, and got to fixing it.
Turns out the expansion tank (for separating the air from the water) and a zone valve (I think this triggers the boiler to heat water for a heating zone, i.e. first or second floor) needed to be replaced. He had the equipment in his truck, installed it, and on top of that switched out about ten gallons of water from the pipes (had air in it). The only thing he didn't have in the truck was a new expansion tank valve but the old one seemed to work fine so we left it - so far so good, doesn't look like it's leaking. He performed the repairs making multiple trips back and forth between my house and his truck on the side of the road in cold, icy conditions.
That was my experience with Wood's Heating today. The tech was extremely professional and refused a tip for coming out to my house in terrible winter weather. So I felt the least I can do is share my experience here.
Excellent company! They really are just like the commercials where they are large enough to service us well but small enough to know us personally. They are very affordable and have great service plans. Every time I call, they are so friendly and professional. I'm so glad we chose Woods! I never thought that I could love a heating oil company, but I really do!
Absolute terrible experience. Had Woods oil come to fill our tank after purchasing our new house. While they were able to deliver the day we called they charged DOUBLE what we were paying with our previous oil company at our old house and then a month later they showed back up and refilled our tank when we had no contract with them, had not requested any automatic drops, and had not called to schedule a drop because we were able to get our old company to make deliverys at our new house. When we called to stipulate the drop we were given a run around by the woman on the phone which we felt was completely unprofessional. We will never use nor recommend this company to anyone in the future.
Since joining Woods heating service for many years, they have been very accommodating in delivering and service. Very happy to have Woods at my fingertips.
Awful! My scheduled oil delivery was from November to May. Last fill up was March. All of a sudden they supply oil in the middle of the summer outside of our agreement. I don’t get a notice it happened. Get a late bill for close to $400 later. Call them, they don’t know where that number comes from. They tell me I owe about $200. So I pay it. I call them up. They can’t identify when my scheduled oil supply is. They installed the boiler and know I don’t need any service in the summer. I get another late bill for close to $400 again. They have no idea what plan you have nor does their billing system match the bill they send you. I use the plan where you pay the same amount every month and then reconcile the difference at the end of winter. Then the billing lady tried to tell me that I need to pay that all year long. That would be an additional $1000+/yr for no service. I am getting rid of this service. This company is a scam!
Terrible service - I wanted to give them zero stars but I gave them one because they answered the phone. We had been without heat for days. Clearly it was a furnace issue as we have had heat Woods said someone would call us back. They did not. After a couple of days we called back. Someone said that a tech would be out to our house in a couple of days and would call us with a time. After two more days we called back and were told that we were not a current customer and therefore were not a priority. After this experience I have no intention on becoming a customer. I looked up reviews and can see the majority of their customers rated them with only one star. Now I understand why. Very disappointed.
I'm very dissatisfied with the customer service I've received from Woods. Their prices are only OK, they don't make up for the poor customer service at all. It takes an act of God to get a Saturday appointment to get your boiler cleaned. If you get an appointment during the week, be prepared to take a full day off work because they only book in 4 hour increments; they're worse than the cable company. I've been waiting over a year for a boiler cleaning. I regret paying for this service contract. I've gotten nothing for my $
Hired them to service my boiler and install two thermostats. One of the thermostats was installed incorrectly so I called the next day and was told it would be taken care of after the weekend. They were a no show. Called again and they assured me that someone would call me to take care of it. Again a no show. Am I asking too much for them to fix their mistake?

$559.90 for 100 gallons?! Who can afford this every month?! They lost me as a customer.
