Almost five years ago Brown's installed our air conditioning, whole house humidifier and a new programmable thermostat. Since then we have had them service both the heating, AC and humidifier each year. We have had a great experience and have taken advantage of their annual service agreement. I would definitely recommend Brown's to anyone.
Had these guys help me out when i messed up trying to install my smart thermostat myself on an older home. They came first thing in the morning and replaced the part I fried. They rewired my old and outdated wiring system to my thermostat and they hooked up the new smart thermostat for me and walked me through how to use it. Mike was my tech and he was super nice, friendly and knowledgeable. He did an excellent job and cleaned up the area after wards. This same company installed our A/C last year and they were excellent then too. Highly Recommend.
It was a great experience working with Brown's to add central air conditioning to our home. We started with the OEM of our existing heating system, where Brown's was most highly credentialed by the OEM and five star rated in reviews. From there, working with Brown's was fantastic - GM Richard Fogal came out to meet with us, evaluate our heating system, discuss options,spec out the ideal AC system for our needs and talk through the process and timeline. The install team (Hunter & Braden) did a great job. They worked diligently, communicated great, solved problems, were careful and kept the area clean. In a tight crawl space they really did a nice job of laying out the ductwork and unit placement. In addition to the central air, they installed a new thermostat (works great!) and replaced/rerouted a troublesome dryer vent. The forced system actually seems quieter than before - with good distribution throughout our home and no irksome noises from the vents. As soon as the cool weather passed, the technician John came out and calibrated the system, tuned up our furnace, and demonstrated the system. All of this work was "on time, working great, and under budget". The city inspection was perfect. We couldn't be happier! Many thanks to everyone at Brown's Heating & Air. PS - Brown's electrical subcontractor P & L Electric did great work as well. There a small issue with condenser placement relative to existing utilities and not only was the sub contractor helpful, but the owner came out right away and helped work out the best solution. That's great service.
They came out to give me an estimate. Treated me like an adult answered questions and paid attention to details. In addition I got a complete quote no guessing about electrician fee or repair fees. The men that installed the units were respectful of my property, my dogs and took the time to explain up keep and care. They also scheduled the inspection.
Do not use this company! They do very poor work, lie, and tried to sell me a fan motor or furnace to cover up that their work caused the problem. On November 3rd 2021 I called Brown’s Heating & Cooling out when the fan for our A/C and furnace would not turn on. They said that the problem was that the control panel was bad and so we had them replace it. I called the next day because the fan started to smell like something was burning after running for a few hours, shut off, and would not start up again for another few hours. When the second technician (different from the one that installed it) came out they said that nothing was wrong and that everything was fine in a very rude way. He then suggested that we replace the blower motor and get a new furnace. We declined because this sounded very suspicious since we have everything serviced regularly and our service technician said our unit was fine a few months prior. The problem continued every time we turned the fan on for long periods of time so we simply stopped using this function of our unit. After three months it did the same thing but this time when the fan was on auto. We decided to get a second opinion since Brown’s technician was suggesting replacing the whole furnace. Upon calling a different company, we found that the control panel that Brown’s had installed was visibly fried after only 3 months of use (that was the burning smell). After replacing it again all of the problems with the fan were resolved and we can now use our unit the way we did before Brown’s came out. According to the technician who fixed Brown's mistake (who also has been servicing our unit for a few years) the control panel wiring was done improperly. Also a 5 amp breaker was used when it should have been a 3 amp, a pressure switch was left dangling, and screws were left in the door tract that cause a corner of the door to be bent when closing. Seems pretty straight forward, a part was installed improperly, failed after three months, the part was replaced AND wired properly, the problem was resolved. I called Brown’s to discuss a refund and emailed them pictures of the improperly wired control panel both installed and after which clearly show the burnt parts. After trying to give me the run around, asking me why I didn’t call them back to replace my furnace (as if that was ever the problem) they lied to me and told me that the control panel only had a one month warranty and refused to give me the refund. I called the manufacturer and confirmed my suspicion that the part actually had a one year warranty after installation. Now if the part were the problem then it should be no issue for Brown’s to use the manufacturers warranty to get their money back. I suspect that they don’t want to go this route since the part is so obviously not the problem, nor is my unit since it is running perfectly now. That leaves only one factor, the installation.

I got a second opinion from Brown's - Mike came out the same day and found the issue - a trap holding water causing the furnace to turn off. A $200 call vs an $8500 furnace the other company was trying to sell me. These guys are honest and professional and get my recommendation fully.

April and Lisa are great and answer the phones its wonderful to actually talk to a person that truly cares. Mike the repair professional is so knowledgeable, easy going and personable.
