We have a very old furnace which we must keep going. We're very appreciative to the repair fellow who came out to fix everything and did a great job. It's no fun being cold after having had a serious medical problem. I have used Standard Oil of Connecticut for so many years, and they've always been reliable and there when you need them.

I was with them for over ten. Never had a problem. I had their pay year round program and I had their service plan. I even purchased and had them install a new furnace. Then this year my wife who is pregnant switched banks. She forgot to switch the oil company to the new account since we auto pay all our bills. After ten years we received a nasty letter in the mail telling us to get a new Oil company. We did.

Excellent Service - Our hot water heater stop working on Saturday night so I call Standard Oil for help. Their Service Man arrived promptly and repaired our hot water heater in minutes. I could not believe how quick the whole process went.

I have to say standard oil is a great company. They are very understanding and really helped figure out the problem I had with my heating system, ordered all the parts and fixed it asap and basically saved my holidays!! Thank you to the service team and the receptionists for all the help!! I really appreciate all the hard work and the follow up to ensure the service was everything i expected.

The service person arrived at my house within 30 minutes after the phone representative said it would take 2-4 hours. He was both professional and and smart and knew exactly what the problem was. Within a few minutes, I had heat! It was the perfect experience.

Beware of their service plan. Standard oil promises you free tune up with their service Plan and it is the main attraction of their plan. However I was told that since I did not schedule the tune up in the spring I can forget about it. Not a good way to run a business or keep costumers happy.
Update: Standard oil reached out to me within a day of posting this review and made it right. I am promised a tune up in February as long as I remain a customer. Thank you Daryl.

I'm pretty annoyed with Standard Oil- I had them for Oil services in the past- they were ok, but when my contract expired the price of oil skyrocketed, so i decided to switch to Westmore Fuel, who has been much better- Standard still has my propane, when I had an emergency delivery I was told i could pay by credit card, when i called they told me i couldn't pay by credit card until it went past due- I called on three different occasions and was given conflicting info- I just called again and magically they accepted credit card payment- when i asked why they wouldn't expect credit card before, the person said they don't except credit card payments!!! Although she just processed my credit card for payment, so clearly they have the ability to do it, they just don't want to

I had a small leak on my boiler that I discovered at 4:00pm on a Wednesday, I called and they said they could send someone out within 2-4hrs. The tech called less than an hour later to say he would be at my home within 15 mins, and he was. The tech was great, fixed the problem quickly and easily and was so kind.
