What started out as a promising relationship turned into a bit of a 'scammy' service. Troy from Accutemp was very quick to respond to a call, do a site visit and diagnose a problem. Very quick to set-up a follow-up to perform repair. Very happy about that and this was one of the reasons to choose Accutemp over other service providers. The tech performing the repair was also professional and came across as knowledgeable. However, the good experience ended there - one big surprise at the day of the repair that the new unit offered as replacement of the defective one was a lower Carrier model. This was not discussed with me ahead of time, the new equipment was simply delivered and old unit hauled away before I was consulted. when that happened and the tech connected me with Troy, he acknowledged the difference and mentioned that the unit can be upgraded (allegedly Carrier didn't have my kind of units in stock) in the future if we see difference in power consumption (old unit was Greenspeed, while the new one wasn't), which at a later point Troy denied to have said to me. However, my biggest gripe is that Accutemp and Troy have NEVER sent me an invoice for the service performed - as of 8/31 and several reminders to Troy by email and direct conversation over the phone, I still have not received an invoice for a service performed on 8/2/22, or 29 days later! Don't get me wrong, I was excited about this company bc of excellent reviews, but maybe they are not telling the complete story about Accutemp? Regardless, keep in mind this experience when dealing with Accutemp as it is completely unacceptable to not provide invoice / receipt nor explain all the details about the service and only do that after the fact when is too late to do anything else....
A technician from Accutemp Engineering named Jamie provided yearly maintenance on my AC system today, I have to say he was professional, courteous and knowledgeable. When he completed his work I could tell that he paid attention to detail and as he did his work he fixed some small issues which he did not have to do. He is a conscientious worker. If anyone has this company doing work at their residence they should request this technician.
DONT do business with this company. This company is not responsible and over charge. The company replaced my HVAC fan but at the same broke the AC system by turning on heating in summer time accidentally. I waited for 3 months without any AC in the summer and paid ~$3000 for a broken system. They refused to fix it within warranty after 4 months and asked for additional 12k to replace the entire system now. The manager threatened us to put the broken part back in our system if we don't want to continue use their services. We didn't ask for a free replacement. We just need them to fix the leaks they already detected. We are upset because we are not treated equally as this company claimed how they handle cases with their other customers. We don't want to be threaten again. So good luck to your business!
The company suggested to replace the system instead of fixing the leaks they detected, which is not reasonable coz we are living in a 15 years old byilding and very rare ppl has HVAC issue. Their strategy was to make things more seriously so that they have an excuse to not fix it in warranty. This is my personal experience with this company. I hope it will help others or at least give ppl a heads up.

I am giving 3 stars because the technician was friendly and arrived on time, but subtracting 2 stars because he did not tell me the torch was going to cost $50, and I felt like the information he gave me could’ve been done in an hour.
My HVAC was broken, and while they were able to send someone over, it was $280 for the first hour, $210 for the second, an additional $50 dollars for using a torch to melt the ice around my outdoor compressor. While the hourly pricing was transparent, the outcome was that I spent $545 to have someone read me an error code. In the end, my HVAC is still broken.
AccuTemp seems like a reputable service, but I would not recommend the emergency service. It just did not feel like they truly cared, as I was visibly stressed because I knew the whole process was billable by the hour, but they did not move with urgency. I understand that a business needs to make a living, but I hope they introduce a discount if the outcome was unsolved, otherwise it can feel like their business model is taking advantage of those who are vulnerable due to emergency situations.
The condenser on AC failed. When I called to schedule a service appointment they were able to get me on the schedule next day. The technician who came on site was extremely professional. He explained everything that needed to be done. He fixed the system and got me back up and running quickly. I would highly recommend Accutemp and plan to use them in the future.

The job included adding a new central AC system and replacing my old steam heating system with a new forced hot air system. Included was the removal of two old steam boilers and 14 heavy cast iron radiators. I got two estimates for the job. Both estimates were about the same. Given the number of excellent reviews for Accutemp, I selected them for the job. I was not disappointed.
I contracted the job with Damon in February for a May start. Damon explained to me the different heating and cooling systems available and helped me choose the right ones for my home. The first week of May, the workers showed up ready to go. The workers were polite and efficient. Troy, in particular, worked on the job almost every day and had an incredible work ethic. The old radiators and boilers were removed, giving me much more room in the basement and in all the rooms in the house. The AC unit was installed where we requested and I was given instructions for maintaining the system. The new gas heating system is sleek and clean. Troy made sure to show me how to replace the air filter and provided me with all of the warranty and owners materials. All of the old pipes were removed and all of the excess materials were removed at the completion of the job. I even have a new thermostat which lets me control the systems remotely with my cell phone.
I have had experiences with other contractors in the past where my questions were brushed aside and my phone calls and emails never returned. That was the the most important difference with Accutemp. Damon made sure to return every phone call and email quickly. All of my concerns and questions were immediately addressed to my satisfaction. Damon even provided the forms I needed for a Mass Save system rebate.
I would highly recommend Accutemp for HVAC system work.
