We used Accutemp to replace our aging 5-ton residential air conditioning system. Damon met with us to understand our needs and to prepare a proposal. Damon and Troy were the main installers. In all respects, their work was first rate. Both Accutemp and our former vendor proposed Carrier Systems at similar costs. But the Accutemp proposal was for a system that was more than one step superior to the system proposed by our former vendor. So, we believe that the price proposed by Accutemp was reasonable.

More important than the price, of course, is the operation of the system. So far, the system operates great and we remain confident that that review of its operational success and efficiency will remain over a longer period of time.

Add to the reasonable price and successful operation of the system the care of the installers during their time at our house and one reaches the 5-star rating given in this review.

I can't say enough about the team at Accutemp. Damon came out to do an estimate on a new gas boiler, and in the process of evaluating, cleaned out the old boiler's ignition in hopes of preventing our boiler from shutting off on cold nights at NO CHARGE. (As a side note, another company who we hired to service our boiler previously this year - refused to touch it for fears they would break it, while still billing us for the cleaning). The proposal from Accutemp came in below some other proposals we received. The installation team was extremely knowledgeable, punctual, hardworking and respectful. Performing the work were Troy, Z and Mike. Unlike our prior experience with expert salesmen who disappeared upon selling the work to be replaced with what seemed like novice technicians, Damon was very involved in the whole process. He came by multiple times during the job and even sent the guys to do follow up testing on the unit. The guys were extremely thorough, and our basement, which was a mess when they got there, was spotless after. I just wish we knew of Accutemp when we were installing our mini-splits! This is our go to HVAC company from here on out. Thank you Accutemp!

Accutemp helped us replace heating and central air conditioning systems for both units in our two-family home. It was a big project, and we didn't know much about heating and air conditioning going in. Accutemp was informative and patient, educating us about the different options, answering all of our questions, and helping us choose the system that would work best for us. The technicians doing the work at our house were always professional and knowledgeable. The new heating and air conditioning work beautifully, and our energy bills are lower!

My central air stopped working mid-day on the 4th. Called Accutemp the 9:30am the 5th, and Damon Fish was able to come to my place by 12:45pm. Within 1 hour he was able to diagnose and repair the major problem (blown capacitor - I now have functional AC!!!), identify a second less critical issue (to be repaired next week), and process my payment. I'm a bit suspicious when I see so many positive reviews of a place, but my first hand experience suggests these are well deserved. Thanks again for the awesome service!!

Accutemps's evaluation of the problem of reconfiguring my duct work was intelligent and they gave me a clear and detailed explanation (by Damon). Accutemp Engineering has been servicing this luxury condominium community for over twelve years and has provided exceptional service both in Preventive Maintenance, emergency service and installation of complex slat fin units both in common area and owners units.

They service the roof top chiller and all of the distribution piping throughout the development . The technicians are well trained and very professional when dealing with the condominium owners.

This property has had ongoing issues with the dual temperature system which Accutemp spent countless hours in researching building plans and balancing the water distribution which I am happy to say is now working properly and unit owners are very happy that they no longer have maintenance staff entering their units all of the time to purge the system.

Very professional. Was looking for an ac/heat unit and gave me the best price. The technicians wanted to remove their shoes because he noticed we just installed new flooring. Great price, courtesy and suburb customer service .

We recently added a small addition to our house so an existing a/c duct had to be removed and new ducts added. The Accutemp team was both professional and very helpful. Excellent service and great installation.

My wife and I are glad that we chose to work with Accutemp, and in particular, their residential manager, Matt, for our HVAC installation. Matt was extremely responsive, clear, and upfront during the entire process, from the planning phase, to post-installation questions. We have already recommended Matt and Accutemp to several of our friends, including our neighbors past and present.

With regard to the particular project we worked with Accutemp on, my wife and I bought a house in Newton built in the 1800s that didn't have any air conditioning. We had gotten multiple estimates and met with a number of contractors to discuss the project, as the age of the house and the unique interior layout and design made it a very challenging job.

We ended up having a ductless mini-split heat pump system installed (provides both heat and AC). Matt and Accutemp not only gave us the most competitive bid in terms of financials, but there's was also the only bid to include the installation of a sixth indoor air handling unit. Every other contractor we met with insisted that five would be sufficient. Having now lived through some 90+ degree days, we can definitively say that the sixth unit is essential to keeping the whole house cool and comfortable.

On the initial date of HVAC install, Matt and his team arrived at our home to find that my electrician (who had to do major work preceding the HVAC install) had not stuck to his original stated plan, completely throwing off Accutemp's plans. In less than thirty minutes, Matt spoke with the electrician, discussed the available options with me, and formulated an alternative, the results of which we were equally happy with.

Matt also came out and reviewed the functioning of our boiler, along with recommended repair/replacement options and the cost of each option. Ultimately, we decided not to replace the boiler, but we have a better sense of how and when to approach doing so after meeting with him and discussing it.

Finding reliable contractors in any field can be difficult, and in particular with HVAC, we had less-than stellar service in the past in the Boston area. We are happy to have found Accutemp and Matt, and look forward to working with them in the future on all of our HVAC needs.
