The great Alber people came to service our furnace today. We are so very grateful that we engaged this company to seal up our house and improve our energy conservation! Our bills for heating have dropped nearly one-third! And the house stays so clean! Our filter today was like new. Cold spots in our odd shaped A-Frame house are so much more comfortable, Before, we were heating spaces in attics and the garage that we were not aware of, and missing heat in living areas. All that was corrected. Replacing the very old water heater with a gas tankless gives me so much more confidence in my water quality. And I am enjoying my new gas range so much! Going into the beautiful crawl space for the Christmas decorations this year was such a pleasure - no more mold and dampness - clean and sparkling white! And our new pump system under the house, keeping us dry even when the lake 15 feet away is high, with a back up pump for safety, adds to our feelings of security and comfort. We certainly do recommend this work by this company. The savings and the assurance are well worth it! And - they returned to correct a bathroom vent problem on our steep roof that I had employed others to try to fix for years!

Alber Service team was incredibly professional from start to finish. They installed a new heater boiler system, and it's literally a work of art! I can't say enough good things about the technician Tom and his team. Clearly they take pride in their work!

TL;DR Alber handled the job professionally and competently with no BS.

We contacted a number of qualified contractors for the “Home Performance with Energy Star” program. This involved air sealing, insulation, replacement of AC/Heater/DHW, and associated tasks. We selected Alber Service Company to perform the work.

Of the contractors contacted, Alber was the only one to not tell me something that was technically untrue. If I had a question that the Alber representative did not know the answer to, they said that they would look up the answer and get back to me, which they did. Others (including the #1 and the “good/better/best” people) gave me a line of half-truths or blatantly false answers.

The Alber sales representative “under-promised and over-delivered,” which is exactly what I was looking for. They negotiated in good faith and were accommodating to reasonable requests.

Our existing system was on its last legs and Alber was able to accommodate an earlier installation of the AC portion of the system to ensure that we were comfortable.

The installation team was professional, clean, etc. and most importantly the work was done well.

The installed system, including insulation and air sealing, resulted in a reduction of AC electrical consumption of more than 40% the first month, compared to the same month in a previous year. Subsequent months where cooling was involved also saw 40%+ reduction in electrical consumption.

There were really no negatives associated with doing business with Alber. Their paperwork and administration leaves a little bit of room for improvement; nothing seemed to be a red flag or malicious, however they were not “on top of their game” regarding paperwork. Although they handle the filing of local permits, their quotes do not include the cost of said permits, while most of their competition included this as part of the price quoted to us. This was completely clear from the very beginning and not a surprise, however, it must be factored in to price comparisons when looking at bottom-line pricing for the project.

I have recommended Alber Service Company to family and friends and would not hesitate to do so in the future.

Chris Finn and Brian Alber did an excellent job replacing the entire heating and cooling system in my Moorestown home, including zoning dampers and all new thermostats. They are knowledgeable, efficient, and were very polite and considerate during the two full days they spent in my house. I have been an Alber customer for over fifteen years and they are clearly continuing the Alber tradition of excellent service.

I’ve had Alber out several times, twice in the past 3 weeks for different repairs. Just before Christmas they replaced a water heater and today one of our heater’s igniters went bad. Both times the reception via phone was very nice and the workers were professional, honest and got the job done quickly. I would recommend them for sure.

Our older home had a very dated HVAC system and had little-to-no insulation in many places throughout the home. Alber started with a free consultation, listened attentively to our needs, and did not try to sell us more than we needed. I highly recommend the free energy audit. Almost every other company was willing to address part or most of our problems, but only Alber proposed a whole-home solution at a very competitive price. They air-sealed the home, added insulation, and replaced our air conditioning compressors and air handlers. By removing our traditional boiler and tank hot water heater, they were able to install a tankless combination boiler, increasing efficiency and freeing up floor space in our basement. Every employee at this company is respectful, punctual, and helpful. They accomplished the job with amazing attention to detail and quality craftsmanship (and cleaned up after themselves which you think everyone would do but many companies do not). Whether you're looking to swap out a unit or do an overhaul, I strongly recommend Alber (and I did a lot of thorough searching for the right company)! You will not be disappointed!

Casey was excellent! He came out to give us an estimate to replace our central system. Two other companies had come previously to do the same. Turned out there was nothing wrong with our system and Casey fixed it immediately! We are customers for life and would recommend Alber Services.

My "old as time" AC unit finally went down a few weeks ago after years of other contractors coming out and patching my 20 year unit with band aids. My husband and I knew it was time for a new unit. A friend told me about Alber and I had them come out for an estimate. They were very responsive and got back to me right away. When they came out for the estimate, they first did EVERYTHING possible to try to bring the old unit back to life but in the end we all agreed that it was time for a replacement. The entire process was quick and painless. Every person we dealt with was professional and extremely knowledgeable. I would definitely recommend Alber anyone looking for home services. I was nervous about replacing my system but I'm super cool now and just in time for the 90 degree weather!! :-) Totally worth it.
