I wish there was a negative rating. This all occurred during Newport gas outage. They were listed as 24/7 supplier per National Grid. While helpful during the week to drain my system (per NG request), their weekend service was the absolute worst. Returning to my residence and refilling the water so that NG could turn on the heating system isn’t an emergency in their opinion. Ken (the on-call plumber) wanted me to wait from Saturday afternoon to Monday morning. I will never go back to this company based on how I was repeatedly treated this weekend, and I recommend any new clients proceed with caution. Their competitor Gas Doctor provided service when they declined. I’ve also had excellent experience with UJ Nasons.

The Traver's team care. Erica and Ashley are quick to help assess the situation and find the "right" person to solve the problem. Recently, our furnace broke -- which is located in a tight crawl space in our attic. Within an hour of calling the office, Stevie had fixed the immediate problem and came back the next day to fix something that prevented serious damage. We own an apartment house with four homes, and two houses that we rent, plus our own home....Regardless of the problem - pipes bursting, furnaces maintenance, septic pump outs or fishing something a tenant shoved down a sink, we can always count on Travers. Pumped my system and shortly thereafter septic alarm started going off. Called Travers and they said that typically means tank level is too high but when I reminded them they just pumped my tank they said sometimes that could mean the system needs water added and wanted me to take the cover off to view the water levels. Really? Hello travers. You guys just pumped the system and the tank levels are too high? Travers best option for me was to call another company to look at the system. At a loss for words. Either travers has no idea what to do or damaged my system and is trying to have another company deal with it.

Called the company for no hot water problem. Asked if they worked on this type of boiler. The receptionist said yes. They sent someone out who later admitted he didn't know how to work on these. Sent someone 4 times over two days and still couldn't fix it. Long time to have no hot water! We had to call the manufacturer rep ourselves and diagnose the problem and he still couldn't fix it. Had to call another company to fix who came out in one hour and fixed it in 30 min. They overcharged us even though the guy admitted they didn't know what he was doing.

I made an appointment a week in advance to have my furnace serviced. I was told the technician would arrive between 8:00 am and 12:00 pm. My wife took half a day out of work to wait at the house for them.
Not only did they never show, but they charged my credit card for the service call. They offered no apologies and no explanation. Avoid this business.
