911 Heating & Air, LLC

Not only do we have an amazing new boiler, 911 saved our Thanksgiving! The system Alex installed is a Navien boiler that is 97% efficient. It's a hot water (hydronic system) so it heats our house so much better than old steam boiler we had, and the system provides almost unlimited domestic hot water (e.g. no more running out of hot water in the morning even with everyone using the hot water at the same time!) I couldn't have asked for a better system. On top of this, Alex was able to obtain the equipment and install the system faster than other heating companies.

Our story started with our steam boiler dying in early November. We got quotes from other companies. Two companies told us they were too busy to even come out to provide a quote. Alex came the same day and provided a quote that afternoon! 911 is right! Of the four quotes we received, none was able to convert the steam system to hydronic. Hydronic IMHO provides a better heat since the boiler varies the temperature of the water from 110 to 170 depending on how cold it is outside. The benefit is that our house is always the right temperature Steam is great, but it has to cycle on then off, which causes the temp in the house to fluctuate and it creates hot spots (near the radiators). Actually one vendor said that with their 20+ years of experience a conversion to hydronic could not be done.

Alex from 911 was able to make remove our 30+ year old boiler and got us up and just in time for Thanksgiving (a little over 2 weeks from when we signed the contact!!)

Not only that, there were a number of small but important things that really made a difference. First, Alex able to vent the boiler exhaust through the chimney the old steam boiler used. Therefore, we don't have the cloud of exhaust gases blowing our our back yard where our kids play. Again amazing!! Second, he installed a high efficiency filter on the system to catch any debris and gunk in the pipe. I was really surprised at the amount of stuff the filter caught, which would have ended up in our new boiler! Third, Alex used large diameter copper to connect to the old steam pipes. I did a bunch of research online and while it costs more, this approach ensures the optimal water flow. Not necessary, but another example of the quality of work and expertise.

We love our new system and it's so wonderful to have a house that is always the right temp no matter how cold it is outside.

Had them come out to take a look at my AC unit and was super helpful even gave me advice about my water heater vent. Didn't over charge on parts and services I didn't need and charged reasonably for the services I needed will use again when I have future issues.

I had Alex and Jefferson from 911 Heating and Air out last week to replace both my furnaces in my duplex in wauwatosa and also add two new ac units. My experience was exceptional. Not only are they reasonably priced but their workmanship is incredible. The proof is in the pudding - see photos below. All the units were installed square and level, the sheet metal work to connect the new units to the existing ducts was excellent, and the pvc vent runs for the furnaces and the line sets for the ac units were carefully, neatly and thoughtfully routed through my basement. Besides the great prices and great workmanship, Alex's knowledge of furnaces, ac's, and hvac in general is impressive and he is not trying to upsell or upsize the units .. he thoughtfully sized the furnaces and ac's for each of my duplex units based on several factors including sq footage, insulation levels, and windows. If i ever buy another home in need of an hvac system, hands down I will go straight to Alex and Jefferson for the work. Thank you guys! --Jason

Alex is amazing! He Is extremely professional and took great care of us. We had to replace our AC unit and duct work. We have a 1 year old so we couldn’t stay in an 80 degree house! He made such a quick turnaround in a few days to come out on Saturday and get everything installed.

Jefferson and Alex at 911 are THE best in the business. Our family came home after Christmas and discovered our furnace wasn’t working on a Sunday afternoon.

Jefferson stopped at our house and helped coach/teach us through deciding if replacing or repairing our furnace would make the most sense given the type & age of unit and how long we planned to live in the house. Between 600PM Sunday and 130PM Monday, our furnace was evaluated, removed/replaced and the new one turned on. Will use them for future needs.

Helped with both AC and furnace and was extremely helpful. Explained everything very well and offered options, degrees of urgency and several ways we could save money on the required stuff.

Alex is the best! He identified and repaired an improper installation that another company had made; and is straightforward about what was needed to get the furnaces working properly. He also suggested options for cooling that I hadn't considered before. I will be using 911 Heating & Air, LLC for all my HVAC services.
