My wife and I recently purchased a home and are looking for options. Action air gave us the info we needed, and understood when I said we needed time to get situated in our new home before moving forward. I am very happy with their customer service, and am very grateful for a company that doesn't hound you, or press for a commitment prematurely. They will get first dibs when we pull the trigger.
I paid $1,577.00 through my contractor to have Action AC move my furnace. They were to simply move it straight up about 8 feet from my garage to my attic. Unfortunately since the move the furnace blows warm air for only a few minutes and then it fails. Also since the furnace was moved, my heat vents have been spewing a lot of dust and bits of insulation into our home.
I called Action's service department and asked them to send someone out to fix the furnace. Their response, after two service technicians spent almost 3 hours in my attic, was that they want more than $700.00 in addition to what I have already paid them to fix the furnace. They don’t feel that the move caused the problem. The furnace worked fine before the move, and it doesn’t work after the move. How can it not be their responsibility to fix it?
I also complained about the dust and insulation coming out the vents. There was none before the move, but in the process of moving the furnace they must have allowed dirt and insulation to enter the duct work. They say this isn’t their problem either, and if I recall correctly the technician told me that duct cleaning for my 9 ducts would cost more than $400.00. Together that totals over $1,100.00 in addition to what I have already paid to get my furnace working the way it was before they moved it. Worse than that, they told me they really need to replace all the ducts with new ones to solve the dirt problem. That would cost me $2,242.00 more. I feel very ripped off and it seems to be getting worse.
I called and asked to speak to the owner of the company, Brian Amodio, because I wanted to try to work things out. It has been a week and so far he has chosen not to call me back. So I called again and asked for Mr. Amodio’s email to try again to explain my dissatisfaction. It has been several more days and I have received no response again.
Don’t believe their website where they say: “100% Satisfaction Guarantee” and “Upfront Prices, No Hidden Costs” because this is not what I have experienced.

We had our A/C unit installed by Action Air. The delivery and install met our every expectation. However, after a period of time a puzzling mechanical problem occured. After a number of attempts to correct the problem the compressor was changed out in its entirely. Throughout this period Action Air was fully supportive in correcting the problem, their technicians were always prompt, courteous and professional. I would fully recommend this company for your A/C needs.
Very professional and experienced technicians. Good HVAC contractors are few and far between in residential construction, Action goes above and beyond to ensure that our projects are completed on time and correctly.
All of our experiences with Action Air have been fabulous! After years of just living with a wood stove for heat, we decided we wanted to invest in a heat pump that would both cool and heat, as we read that was the most energy efficient. Fortunately, Costco had a great deal with a good rebate and Action Air Is the company under contract with Costco for the deal. They sent out a very responsive and competent sales person who gave us a very thorough quote.
Because we had no ductwork and we had a roof on top of an old roof, the installation was tricky. David Anguiano and Adam Carachure were the two highly competent technicians that were sent out to do the job. It took them four days, which is the estimate that was originally given us, and we were extremely pleased with them. They were both very professional, friendly, unobtrusive, neat, patient, and worked very well together. They also thoroughly cleaned up after themselves! My husband and I were both extremely impressed. Now we have an incredibly efficient and easy heating and air-conditioning system! We highly recommend the professionalism and competency of Action Air!
Josh Harvey was professional and a good problem solver, willing to recheck and retest his work to determine why the thermostat was not functioning - it was because the thermostat was defective. He took the initiative & the time to correct problems even though they were not in his job order. An excellent and efficient technician!
In a time when Customer Service is a lost art, Action Air Conditioning is a welcome exception. We couldn't have been more pleased. Josh and Preston were completely professional, competent and courteous. I would highly recommend this company......and I don't do that unless they deserve it!
The guys did an awesome job! The install went smoothly, clean, and they were professional. Kindy interactive to make sure I was ok with aspects of the install. I never felt like I or the job was rushed. I was very impressed this how clean and sharp the install looked when they were done it was highly above what I was expecting.
