Our heater wasn't working, so we called J & M and they sent Kevin A. out the next day. He was prompt, and within about a half hour had diagnosed the problems we had. He found the parts, and made an appointment to return when he received the parts. He had our unit repaired and we are toasty warm again. We will use J & M whenever we need service, and will highly recommend them to our friends and neighbors.

I wish I had looked up these reviews first! I assume most of the 3 star and higher are people who for whatever reason did not research the cost of parts and time? Please read all the 1 star ratings and you will know what is wrong with this company. They are pleasant when they give a estimate. They can afford to be! I will just let my letter to them tell the story.Get your estimates broken down in parts and labor! $434.50 was generous as most of the time spent here was waiting on the part. $797.00 for a $100.00 part No more than 1 hr labor.

Your serviceman just left. He was pleasant and did his job fast. I was however surprised to find I could have purchased the part you provided for about $150.00 or less. Allowing for a profit say $250.00 and an hourly fee of 1.5hrs @ $125.00 an hr. = $187.500 Total would be $434.50. You having been recommended by someone we trusted I feel we were taken advantage of! Charged $797.00
Having discussed redoing our whole house HVAC with your tech. being friendly I was considering having it done in the winter. Needless to say when we do I will not be using your shop. This is the third time we have trusted a company and have been taken advantage of. I'm not sure why it is so prevalent that companies are in it for a fast buck and don't consider the long term damage they do to their business? I had an automotive business in Hemet I Saw 100s of people who had the same thing done to them. Being charged for items not received or charged double what was called for. Needless to say, when we redo our system it will be done by another company.
I just wonder how much this will cost you, not just us not using your company again but also all the people that we tell about what you did? Free Estimates that's a laugh! Have a nice day.

J & M Air Conditioning is a top notch company. I’ve used them for many years for all my heating and air conditioning needs. They are on time and very knowledgeable. Their technicians are highly trained, courteous and take that extra time to explain the service they are performing.

I was referred to this company by many of my friends, some of whom have worked here, or have even family members that work there as well. I was gone for a few days at work, and had my pregnant wife at home alone to wait for the technician to come. Our air conditioner was extremely noisy, and were told by the HVAC technician that the condenser fan motor, blades, and capacitor needed to be replaced. The technician (Richard) quoted us for close to $900. He said that the parts alone were close to $500. While he was at the house, I did a quick search to find out the price of the parts online. There was nowhere that was selling the parts for more than $190 for everything. I understand mark up, but 200% mark up? I confronted Richard on the price and he said it was because it came with a one year warranty. All new parts come with a one year factory warranty regardless of where you get it!!! That leaves another $400 for labor. That job absolutely should not have taken more than 2 hours tops. At $95 an hour, that's still a 200% mark up on the labor. I spent the $65 for his consultation fee and sent them on there way. I would have absolutely done business with this company had the price been fair. I did everything on my own for less than $200 in under 25 minutes. Due to the dishonesty of Richard, I will never do business with this company. Sucks for them too, because they came highly recommended and my HVAC system is close to 30 years old and could use an update!! Had they been honest and fair, they could have made thousands off of me in the future.

Great response, tech was over looking at the situation in less than 2 hrs. His findings, SCE was having rolling brownouts because of recent fires close by. AC circuit breaker tripped, I can rest and sleep knowing the professionals at J&M has my back. $65 service call not a bad deal for them to flip the switch. It could have been worse.

Very pleased with the thoroughness and knowledge of Adrian on my maintenance check up. Adrian was very personable also. I just had both my heater and A/C put in by J&M this past August. Very pleased.
