Cedrick came today to do routine maintenance. He arrived promptly and was awesome. Most importantly, he was patient with our barking dogs. :)

Custom Climate did an excellent job with a very difficult problem. We had a leak in freon that was difficult to find and the installer, Air Plus, did not follow through to find and resolve the problem although we purchased two units with them plus duct work. The owner of Custom Climate, Tom, was extremely helpful and knowledgeable; he went out of his way to coordinate with Trane, the manufacturer, and work to achieve a resolution to this problem. I was particularly impressed with this care and commitment in stark contrast to my previous experience. Gavin, the technician was extremely knowledgeable and took extra steps to ensure the best possible resolution, even finding a warranty issue on the second unit and repairing it under this policy without additional charge. After a very long and troublesome process, I am so pleased to have found a company that stands behind their work and products and gives the client a sense of true dedication and trust. I highly recommend Custom Climate Heating and Air, and I only wish that I had started here initially.

My former HVAC services provider was unavailable or out of business after 20 years. I was referred to Custom Climate by Angie's List when my AC shut down. Within 2 hours a technician was onsite and restored the AC. I was so happy for the quick response as the temperature outside was 95 and would be unbearable for a long length of time. I now have my forever service provider with a maintenance service on a regular basis. Their maintenance program is reasonablly priced and greatly appreciated by me.

What can I say? I honestly thought it could be too good to be true.

Awoke last night to a warm and muggy house soaring 80+ degrees; I’ve learned that sweating and sleeping is not a cool thing in Charleston by the way. Although I was planning on replacing my unit later in the summer due its age (30 years), without having no major issues, I figured the old girl just couldn’t go any further. After calling multiple organizations for a quote after hours to no avail, I left a message for Custom Climate Control to assist; I had seen their van on the interstate earlier in the year with the Trane logo and copied the company’s contact information. And, who would’ve thought, they called me at the exact time I had requested that they would.

Not only was the staff willing to accommodate my schedule (who does that by the way?) for a funeral, they’d sent an email to confirm the time. At one point I had to reschedule and one of their representative (Melissa) just went out of her way to accommodate my work schedule. They gave me short window for service and, not expecting them to, they showed up right on time.

The technician, Dwayne, arrived and was by far one of the most courteous and polite technicians I had ever encountered. Not only did he not attempt to rush me, but explained what he was about to do prior to doing it. He even identified the problem, provided options and, upon approval, began replacing the unit’s motor and capacitor. Although I am aware of the unit’s old age, Dwayne not once showed any dissatisfaction with his work. He actually liked what he was doing in this hot heat. But to be honest, I’ve never felt more comfortable with a service technician working on an equipment in my home. Not only was he knowledgeable, but Dwayne took extra time to explain what he was doing as he did it to provide that extra comfort that I didn’t know I needed until received. And…like the past 30 years, the unit just came back on and now the house is a nice comfortable 70 degrees. You really can’t stop a Trane!

Thank you, Custom Climate! You have a customer for the remainder of my good ole girl’s life and for the duration of the next new baby girl you are going to provide in her place. Thanks to your team and customer service. You truly exceeded my expectations.

The 2003 HVAC system in my condo has been under annual maintenance service for several years with Custom Climate HVAC. This year, the 16 yr old system needed to replaced. There was no other company I would consider installing a new system but Custom Climate. The entire company, from office staff, to technicians, and up to the owners, have always been professional, pleasant to deal with, courteous, skilled, and prompt to respond. Galvin determined 2 options that best worked with my budget and condo and followed up the next day to see if any more questions and if I was happy with install/system. Technicians Christian & Andrew and the owner Tom were thorough, professional, and everyone made sure any question I had was answered and that I was happy and satisfied with the new HVAC install. I highly recommend Custom Climate for any HVAC needs.

The day I called for an appointment, I was scheduled for the very next day (fast service), the technician that came to my house identified himself (security). My problem was diagnosed and the technician spoke with me about the issues and gave me a quote (not a surprise after the work had been done), my home has been warm since he left! Will I refer??? Most definitely!
