Very disappointed with the price I paid to have the lower element replaced in my 40 gallon AO Smith water heater which is 2 years old. Technician wrote on my statement it was still under warranty. The $25.00 part was but the labor was not covered. 2 years ago I paid $372.90 for the water heater. I was charged $392.00 to have the $25.00 element replaced. I will never do business with Sentry again, nor would I recommend them to ANYBODY unless you want to get ripped off.

I plan to sign up for the maintenance plan of my air conditioning units and heating units, again at a very affordable price. I was so pleased with Wesley, I am recommending him to all of my friends and neighbors.

The HVAC in our two year old home was significantly undersized and we had an encapsulated crawl space that was not being properly conditioned. The units couldn't keep up in the summer or winter. We finally bit the bullet and decided to correct the problem. Kenneth from Sentry spent time with us to assess and understand our needs and he developed several options that would solve our problems. We chose one that we knew would work and that fit our budget. They assigned a two man team of Terry and Randy to do the installation. It was estimated as a two week job but was complete in about a week and a half. Terry and Randy were the best; always careful, very thorough, and exceptionally neat. Everything was installed to our satisfaction and we couldn't be happier with the result.

We've relied on Sentry since the mid 2000s. We first called on them to add a 16kw natural gas powered back-up generator and automatic transfer switch to allow our home life to continue thru power outages. To date, they've replaced three A/C units (with high efficiency Carrier) and reworked the attached ductwork. 2013 brought a water heater replacement. We enjoy their efficient, courteous service and are scheduled for semi-annual service / inspections: HVAC, Plumbing and Generator. (Money well spent!) Recently, we called on their technicians to replace 2 dimmers and a section of defective track lighting. We highly recommend Sentry Heating, Air Conditioning, Plumbing and Electrical.

I have been a contracted customer of a Birmingham-based heating and air service provider, paying an annual servicing/maintenance fee. Last year, I learned this same company failed to install a filter in one of my units, no major concern; things happen. However, last year one of my compressors was throwing a breaker. The breaker was changed at a price premium. Again, no major concern, service companies are due a profit. Early this season the same compressor was throwing the same breaker almost immediately after my contracted annual maintenence. After a call back and diagnosis by the contracted service provider, it's recommended I replace my aged compressor and furnace. Allegedly, the hermetically sealed unit was leaking refrigerant and causing an amperage draw that was throwing the breaker. So I was told, and believed, I would need to spend significant $$$ to replace the unit. Concerned with the fact the system cooled when I reset the breaker, I decided to get a second opinion from a company my brother in law, who's an engineer, recommended. This is Sentry. They make a courtesy visit to my home without the background I just shared. They run their test and share the refrigerant and amperage draw is compliant with factory specs. No low refrigerant! What they did discover is a loose power lead to the breaker/breaker box. Kenneth fixed the issue and the system is functioning and cooling without throwing the breaker. Integrity and a thorough diagnosis is important when the customer isn't a HVAC expert. Sentry exceeded my expectations and will be my new service provider. Thank you, Sentry.

Thank you, Tom for your super prompt return call as well as coming to fix our A/C the next day - in July! It was an unusual problem but Tom went up and down the stairs and outside until he had our unit in excellent working order.
