Background: I bought a new home build from Dr. Horton about 14 months ago. Dr. Horton sold me the home with an installed Carrier home A/C & heat exchange unit system. They did a terrible job of validating the installation.
When I bought my new build home, I thought to myself... I don't need any maintenance, this a new build by a reputable company. This is a new unit and there shouldn't be any reason for maintenance after 1-year. I am so glad I paid for maintenance from an independent company.
I am so happy that I reached out to Baker Electric Home Energy and asked for a maintenance visit for my Carrier unit. I scheduled my appointment online, my request was confirmed over the phone within 24-hours, the appointment was reconfirmed 1 day before, I received a text 1-day before and Gage W called to confirm. They showed up before my appointment time (it was AM).
Gage W was awesome. He inspected the attic unit and found major issues with the installation. The installer left the A/C paper manual within the system channel. It was shredded and was blocking the blower fan blades. How insane is that?
He also discovered that the installer didn't wire the emergency shut-off system in case the system failed and water leaked into the catch pan. This was missed and not corrected by the building supervisor.
He also discovered that the low-volt bathroom exhaust fan unit did not match my manual that was provided by the builder. He helped me to understand the unit was an exhaust system only and the unit did not have a filter, despite the manuals that I had.
Gage provided education about how and when to change the unit filters and how to think about the MERV rating as it relates to the system and the air quality.

Baker installed solar panels with battery backup for us and did a fine job. We asked for a quote for air conditioning and the salesperson recommended a heat pump system which they claimed would provide both heating and cooling. Air pump worked great for AC but basically provided no heat when outside temperature was under 50. We’re at 5K ft elevation. We had to have a propane furnace reinstalled for proper heating. We ended up losing over $16K to put things right. Baker refused to provide any reimbursement claiming we didn’t operate or maintain the heat pump properly. I’ve asked them repeatedly for any information pertaining to heat pump maintenance and operation with no response.

I have done two projects with Baker so far and referred them to others who have had good experiences. I trust Baker Home Energy. I recently had a terrific experience with one of their roofing teams lead by Octavio Bellovena. (Alberto R, Nelson P, Samuel G and Stanford A also on the team.). They were competent, polite and even helped me with some unrelated lifting while they were here! would recommend this group to anyone.

Junior of Baker Electric Home Energy came to day to help me with my air pump and give me options related to the expensive filtration system I acquired with the recent purchase of my new home. He did an excellent job of explaining to me several options and then helping me find the affordable filters to purchase online. In taking apart and putting back together the system, he made sure everything was "neat and tidy" and just the way I like it! I will definitely be calling Junior in the future to maintain my system! I had a great solar purchasing experience from start to finish. The consultation was thorough and without pressure. Project milestones were clearly communicated via the Baker Solar web portal and the couple questions I had were answered promptly. The installation was clean and Baker was even able to hide much of the conduit after discussing options. Overall pricing was very fair compared to other quotes I received and Baker has been around a long time which also gave me piece of mind.

This is a tough one.
First the good.
I really like the salesman and his knowledge and confidence in what we need. He was responsive and helpful.
We did a service panel upgrade and the electrician was great. They stuccoed in the new panel and it looks like it has always been there.
We reroofed part of the roof and the crew did a great job…
Now for the bad.
We signed our contract in December and did not get our panels installed for 6 months and we still have not had them turned on (now 7 months since signing) and we have not heard a word from them since they put the panels up in the end of May.
When the crew came to install the panel they broke half the tiles that were just replaced by the roofers. Yes, they fixed them but it took an extra day and they were sloppy.
They installed the panels and did not even wipe them off. We have brand new Solar Panels and they look like trash because they are dirty.
They get great reviews so my guess is they are busy and they aren’t working to push our project forward. Over 30k given to them but they are treating us like we spent $300.
Friends went with other companies who use the exact same equipment and got the whole project done and installed in 3 months.
I am already on my second payment for the panels that are even turned on or clean.

Awesome job by Matt Good. He quickly fixed the issue with the inverter communication by routing the new ethernet cable to our wifi router. This approach is more robust than previously setup external zigbee wireless device that failed after 5 years of use.

I had a problem with my 23 year old heater not producing hot air. The HVAC tech named Junior came out and diagnosed the problem. He was very professional, courteous, and explained everything he was doing to diagnose the problem. He explained everything in an easy to understand manner. The problem turned out to be the heat sensor not working properly. He replaced it and got the heater running properly. He was very thorough in pinpointing the problem and did not try upsell me. I would not hesitate to recommend this company to anyone who needs work done on their home heating/ac system.

Very pleased with my fellow union brothers workmanship and this is exactly why I hired them!!! Professional from the start, each person played their role and picked up where the other left off. They were very communicative from the start explaining the next step and that followed up with an email . I have and will continue to recommend Baker as they've been in business since 1938, they are union and the quality of install is bar none. Thank you everyone at Baker for your quick responses.

Excellent experience. The crews were very professional and quite large to get the required work done in one day. Roofers, then solar, then roofers again, 3 days. They were very respectful of our historic home and obviously had experience with red clay tile roofs. They were also able to work around our delicate gardens. Very, very satisfied.
