I called them to get a quote for a repipe of my house to fix my slab leak issue and I asked the operator before the tech even came out if they can provide a quote and they said yes. Once the tech comes out he went to where I told him I heard water and said “yep you have a slab leak”. Once we establish that, we walk outside where he told me that “he can not provide a quote without a Supervisor and I would have to get a 700$ leak scan for them to give me a quote. All I wanted was to get a quote for a repipe but I got nothing and it cost me 100$.

This is my second service request and this time I asked for a time after 320 and was given a time of 4-7. The service company called me at 240 to say the tech was on their way but I was unavailable and then got a call at 330 saying I could not get service at all until the next day. I have a flooding situation and it was urgent to get service today. Not only was this unfair and unprofessional but the woman on the phone who told me she had no one to send out all of a sudden, was rude and disrespectful. Never again. I was a returning customer hut now in a former customer.

ARS tech Felipe , was great. Very professional. Took time to explain the water heater flushing and cleaning. Great job.

I’ve been using ARS for 20yrs, but this was so far, my best experience. The technician, Miguel, struck me as a knowledgeable, experienced, straight shooter. He gave me reasonable options, explaining the pros and cons of each. His installation was efficient and neat, and he told me to call him directly if any questions or problems arise.

The person who answered my call was very nice. The man who came out to do the estimate was also very nice. However, your price was too high for me.

They were quick and easy to book an appointment with. Tech was kind and respectful. Walked me through the steps he needed to do to get me the best results. Very through, he answered any questions I had. I will recommend this company to others.

Rueben was polite & very professional.
Rueben arrived within the time he specified when he called.
Even though I drain cleaning required more time than anticipated; Rueben was very diligent & thorough with the service.
Rueben made sure everything was cleaned & properly in working order.
We couldn’t have had a better service technician.
I am so grateful we chose ARS and we’ll be sure to refer & tell our friends about your AWESOME service!
P.S> Pricing was very competitive!

Exorbitant $350 for a $15 contactor on my air conditioner. Yeah their time is worth something so I figured it would have worked out to 100 bucks for the site visit. But they just ensured that I won't be a repeat customer. And now I'm on their spam list where I get calls end mailings.

ARS /Rescue Rooter charged me an outrageous amount for replacing a pressure reducing valve (PRV) at my residence: $1295 for replacing a $155 part at an easily accessible location requiring about a half hour of labor. I’ve had water heaters replaced for that kind of money which is a much more complex job.
ARS was called by my wife to clear a drain blockage from our kitchen/laundry line. The technician arrived at ~8:50 AM on Monday, January 9. I was out of town for that week and was not able to interact with him. He checked the water pressure at the faucet next to the 2” cleanout under the kitchen window and informed her that the pressure was high and the PRV should be replaced to prevent potential damage to interior house plumbing. She agreed to this out of concern about the potential damage, not being knowledgeable about plumbing or the cost involved. The technician then proceeded to clear the kitchen/laundry line (about 25’ of cabling) in about half hour. He then replaced the old PRV with a new unit (Zurn/Wilkins model 70XL), stating that he would not charge for the cabling but only for the PRV replacement ($1295). I would have never agreed to the PRV replacement at that price had I been there. I would have purchased the part at Home Depot ($155) and installed it myself or have a plumber friend do it for me. There was no emergency or immediate necessary repair regarding the PRV. The only “emergency” was the blockage of the kitchen/laundry line which has no relation to the PRV. The ARS technician left at 10:17 AM, ~1.5 hours total time.
After returning home I called ARS on Wednesday, January 18 for some resolution and was told I would receive a call back from management the next day after they had talked with the technician. That did not happen. I called again on Monday, January 23 and had a frustrating conversation with a manager. He stated that the PRV replacement price was set by the company and that is what they charge. Basically “It is what it is”. I told him I was willing to pay for the actual roto rooting cabling and a reasonable cost for the PRV replacement ($155 for the valve and ~$95 for labor). He would not budge, stating again the company set price. When I mentioned that I would never have agreed to this price had I been there, his response was “You should have been there”. He then hung up.
The technician is not responsible for any of this. He was simply following company protocol/policy and did excellent work. The problem lies with the company and its policies. Charging that kind of money reflects corporate overreach.
