Called on a Saturday and asked how much per pound for freon recharge. They told me it was $189 for the service total without indicating how many pounds I would get but I figured at least 3-4 pounds of 410a. The technician comes over complaining the whole time. Saying I had on old thermostat (which worked just fine). He then notifies me that I will only get 2 pounds (news to me). Then takes off my old thermostat bundles my wires together which any person with even the smallest sense would not do, this caused the transformer on my brand new a/c handler to blow. He didn't fix anything nor did I have my freon adaquatly recharged. Cost me $240 + all the new expenses to fix it. This is honestly my first review I have ever written. PLEASE DO YOURSELF A FAVOR USE ANOTHER COMPANY.
We called the AC Guy after hours, they answered the phone and came out to fix our ac in less than 3 hours. They were courteous, knowledgeable and were very reasonable for a late service call. We will use them again and recommend them to our family and friends.
No customer service etiquette AT ALL. I have never seen the same service person twice. The owner is rude, arrogant and a bully. He argued and dismissed me on the phone when wanted an explaination of why my house was not cooling better after spending $1065. I think he is a new owner, it is no longer owned by Stan and Laura, Which is why all the good reviews are over a year old. I would not use the new AC GUY in margate especially if you are a senior because he is a bully WHO KNOWS EVERYTHING. The money you might save is not worth the aggravation.
lower rating is needed, not only did they damage the walls in my living room, walls going up the stairs, the door frame to the closet where the air handler is located. not only did they cover the loft and my 10 month old daughters room with ash. they violated OSHA STANDARDS 29 CFR 1926.353 by not ventilating the area and producing unsafe levels of carbon monoxide in my home. when my carbon monoxide detector went off, the tech unplugged my smoke detector (doesn't detect carbon monoxide) and didn't tell me. when I went upstairs to investigate the alarm, he told me that the smoke detector keeps going off even tho he unplugged it. I informed him that the carbon monoxide alarm was the source of the alarm, I reset the alarm to verify there was a legitimate source of carbon monoxide. his solution was to keep resetting it, I informed my wife and we called the fire department. FD responded and told us to get out of the house so myself, my pregnant wife, and my 10 month old daughter stood outside while they took readings throughout my house. it took the owner 6 days to return my call and when I had a chance to talk because he kept rudely interrupting me saying there's no way to avoid it, I gave him some constructive criticism to avoid letting this happen in the future. he told me he wouldn't allow me to lecture him and became irate. I told them we would like a percentage of the bill taken off for exposing my family to a toxic gas and he told me that wasn't going to happen. every other individual I dealt with was more than pleasant but this guy was set in his ways and thinks that there was nothing wrong. the fire report stated that the AC Guy produced unsafe levels and they had to evacuate the family due to their work.
Called them and they sent someone out in about an hour, some company called The Right Service. The service man cleaned and blew nitrogen thru the pipes. The job took less than an hour. Cost $550.00
Highly recommend A/C Guy Inc. Excellent service. Able to speak with a person to plan service call. Repair technician highly knowledgeable with excellent customer service skills. Thank you
I have been using the AC guy for years. They're always very punctual very professional and they explain things to you in detail that you can understand. The technician I had John what's fantastic
While others would have seized the opportunity to claim that my entire air conditioner had gone bad (because that's what I thought happened ), the A/C Guy came in a timely manner and assured me that wasn't the case and all I needed was a new board. So they replaced and topped me off with a little more freon for a fraction of what a new a/c would have been. Thanks again!
