    I was happy with the plumbing work performed (fixed leaking faucet, replaced flex line, and replaced bathroom faucet). The technician arrived on time and my appointment was immediately scheduled for the repair. The technician was professional, he put on his booties to protect my floor and he cleaned up when done.

    Mr. Trevon was the gentleman who came to fix the problem. It was AHS who initiated the appointment with Royal pluming. The problem was a leaky toilet tank. The problem was resolved on their second visit today. The issue was not with the Royal plumbing but the AHS coverage. The second visit was needed to complete the work as it was not covered by AHS. Mr. Trevon did a good job. Hope this problem with the leak is now a history!

    I was referred them from American Home shield. My garbage disposal broke. They came on time and investigated. Serviceman went to lowes to buy replacement and replaced disposal in 30 min. Only thing I would suggest is that I could've given them model number ahead of time so that serviceman wouldn't have had to buy one after he arrived. But he was very fast in getting it and coming back. I would recommend them.

    Do not, let me repeat, do not use this company. I was required to use them by my home warranty company, American Home Shield (whom I would also not recommend using), when my hot water heater went out. The initial response was good, they came out within 24 hours but then it took 5 days for Royal to submit their report to AHS for approval for the repair. I called Royal every day and was even lied to on day three that yes, the report had already been submitted when AHS confirmed that it had not yet been received and wouldn’t receive if for 2 more days!

    When the repair was approved by AHS, Royal plumbing then told me I would have to pay a $175 ‘tank flush fee’. I refused. I know how to flush my hot water heater, it takes about 15 minutes, and said I would do that myself. They insisted they had to do the flush or they would not do the warranted repair. I spoke to AHS and they told me that it was between me and Royal to work this out even though AHS required me to use Royal.

    Basically, Royal was blackmailing me, either pay the ridiculous charge of $175 to flush the tank or they would not do the warranty repair. When I asked to speak to the manager after getting nowhere with the scheduler, I was rudely hung up on after being told he would call me back when he had time. Of course, I knew what that meant, in a few days, a week, maybe more, he would call me back. In the meantime, I would have no hot water after already being without it for over a week, in February. I had a difficult choice, pay the extortion fee and have them do the work or start all over again with my own contractor and have to pay for the entire repair and probably lose several more days.

    I chose to pay the extortion fee and the repair was finally made, 11 days after the hot water heater failed. The two young men who came to fix the unit were polite, friendly, capable, and did a good job. I have no complaint against them.

    Oh, and Royal would only accept cash or a certified check. Credit card payment required an additional 4% fee!
