M&B Heating and Air

We have been very pleased with the service we have received from Myatt & Bates. We have been a customer of theirs for many years which speaks to our satisfaction. Our service technician, Calvin, does a great job on our yearly fall and spring maintenance.

We have a maintenance contract with M&B. They texted me a few times to prompt me to make an appointment. If they had not done this, I would not have remembered. I appreciate the reminders since life tends to be busy.

It sucks when your heat goes out in the middle of winter! We called M&B and got an appointment for the next day which is amazing in itself. Calvin came out and told us what he found, what it would take to fix it and how much it was going to cost. Calvin is amazing at what he does, he is a very sweet guy and my 4 year old loved chatting with him. Give that man a raise!!! Thank you Calvin and M&B for all your hard work

The team was on time to the appointment and extremely professional. They took the extra time and care to clean up and even shut my windows for the air conditioner to work well. I highly suggest M&B!

Our split Heat pump stopped working. What was happening was- the upstairs air handler would continue to run while the outdoor compressor would stop running. Essentially the breaker kept shutting off. Called M&B late on a Friday to come out. Heat index above 100F. The tech that arrived was nice enough....he told us that our drain pan was the reason the unit kept tripping breaker.....so he cleaned it out. He also admitted it was ODD that usually if drain pan is full then the overflow switch would shut off the upstairs unit not the outside compressor. He said if this wasn’t the fix then we had a bad compressor. Took His word for it!!! They are experts, right? He asked us to turn the breaker back on and it began to work(as one would expect). Soon after he left- same problem.....breaker tripped! Without A/C until Monday! Called Monday M&B back explained situation and that we needed a price on a new unit- they sent salesman out and he gave a price(on a smaller unit mind you! Not one that would replace what we had!) said couldn’t replace unit the following Monday. Decided to get other estimates and went with company that could replace sooner , for less money, and with the correct size unit! Well- guess what? Yep!! The tech misdiagnosed the problem! It was only a bad breaker!! Drain pan nor the compressor were the problem!! So $5000 dollars later...Called M&B they refuse to refund any money or admit their error! STEER CLEAR of this company! It cost us over $400 for essentially nothing!

Myatt and Bates handles all my rental property and my personal residence. They show up on time (or call), they protect my home by wearing shoe guards, the service techs are not only knowledgeable but friendly and don’t mind educating me if there is something I don’t understand. There prices are fair, not cheap but fair. I’m a firm believer you get what you pay for. I have their Cool Club maintenance program to keep things in check. Great office staff as well. Keep up the good work Calvin and Heather!

M & B is an excellent HVAC company that is focused on what the customer needs and not what they want to sell. The entire team is very low pressure, highly responsive all the way through installation and are one of the few companies that offer premium level equipment at reasonable prices. They really want to earn your business!

Calvin is an excellent HVAC tech., very knowledgeable and resolved issues rapidly and explains everything. Always on time and he knows his stuff. He has been at my house several times and when he recently came he knew where everything was including the thermostat, air handlers , and other former issues. We deal very comfortable with Calvin he has proven himself many times in successfully resolving fixing problems with our AC unit.
