I have for years wondered why the edge of my yard stays green even when I'm not watering. I made an appointment with Ongaro & Sons to take advantage of their sewer line inspection special rate. I received a text about 10 minutes before my scheduled appointment time saying Aldo, the technician, was on his way, including his picture. Aldo was great; he encouraged me to watch the display screen as he worked, explained the things he was seeing, and talked me through various repair options. And yes, the mystery is finally solved: the camera revealed a hole in the pipe at the edge of the yard.

Ongaro and Sons is the best. Ricardo is the ultimate professional and really knows his stuff. I HIGHLY recommend Ricardo and his assistant Josh. Do not hesitate to have these guys solve any of your HVAC problems. They kept our old system running really well and we are super happy to reward them with the business now that it needs replaced.

Jason arrived on time, cleaned our heater engine, showed us before and after pictures and charged a reasonable price. He was fun and friendly to work with. Ongaro has been our neighborhood heating and plumbing and household go-to for decades. A San Anselmo tradition.

I have utilized Ongaro & Sons' several times since moving back to the Bay, and have never been disappointed in the quality and care they put into their service. This time was no different. Gerald arrived promptly, was extremely friendly and communicative, swiftly identified the issue, and outlined the follow up steps in a very clear and concise way. I’ve used Ongaro for all my plumbing needs for the last 4 years. Both new installations and problems with older equipment. They have always been great and very trustworthy. Today Mark serviced my A/C system and was incredibly knowledgeable about the A/C as well as heating system. I’m very appreciative.

Second time around I got service technician Jason Hyde who was fantastic. He explained every step of the process in a patient manner, and even offered some suggestions on improvements I can do myself. I will be requesting Jason again!

The first maintenance technician was rude and defensive, falling back on “that will cost you extra” in response to simple questions about the work being done. My wife was offended by the way way he was talking to us. I told him that his services were no longer needed and to leave.

Aldo listened to what I had already experienced and my set-up, described the approach he was taking, and had the work done quickly. He also provided a few recommendations on regular preventative maintenance I could perform myself. Very friendly and a great listener!

Ricardo came out to do a leak test on my air conditioner on the hottest day of the year, it was 105. He was efficient and professional and after we found that there was no way to repair the AC, I was given several options to replace the unit. The company had him go to Home Depot and get a portable AC unit to use until my unit is replaced. Thanks Ricardo and Ongaro
The following week my hot water heater stopped working. I called Ongaro on Monday and a visit was scheduled for Tuesday morning between 8-10am with Doug who was efficient, knowledgeable and gave me several options for replacement. He also arranged for Ian to come out and install the hot water heater about an hour later. Thank you Doug and Ian.

Ongaro & Sons have done everything Plumbing and HVAC related for my family for the past two years+. The send professional and competent trades people every single time; of great importance they send people that I'm comfortable having in my house with my wife and children when I'm not there - this can't be said for other Plumbing companies I've used in the past. I highly recommend using Ongaro and Sons, I use them even when they have quoted a slightly higher price than other quotes in the past for the reasons mention above; they are usually very competitive though.

Gerald came to inspect our plumbing and do maintenance on our tankless water heater. He pointed out some really important issues with our sewer lines. I turned out that his pump wasn’t working so he came back today to complete the service on the water heater. He was very pleasant and explained everything he was doing and explained in detail what was going on with our sewer lines and what we needed to watch out for. He had discovered a literal rats’ nest and leaks! I am grateful that he was so thorough. We have had inspections before, but no one else picked up on this problem.
