I Had my central AC and heating systems replaced recently and had a great experience with One Hour Heating and AC.

After an initial inquiry, I got a call back quickly, a technician came shortly afterward to analyze the situation and give me multiple options. And shortly after that the install was scheduled.

The Installation techs showed up right on time, were very professional and friendly, and finished up the work in a very timely manner. The entire process was smooth, the installation quality was top notch, and the price was quite reasonable for the amount of equipment and labor involved.

Overall, a great experience. They even sent a hand written note in the mail thanking me for my business, which is a personal touch you really don't see often nowadays.

I'd definitely recommend them to anyone looking to get home AC/heat work done.

Jamie did a fantastic job! This was my first time using One hour heating and cooling through my warranty on my house. As a first time home buyer, I had no idea what to look for when inspecting the AC and I trusted the home inspection. Little did I know there was/ and had been a massive leak in the AC system which meant several parts had rusted and the unit wasn't cooling like usual. When Jamie came out from One Hour Heating they gave me two options for repair, one was replacing the damaged parts and the other was replacing the whole system. Well I had plan to replace the system in a few years but did not budget for it right away, so I opted to get the parts and have them replaced instead. The receptionists were quick to respond with me, coordinate with my warranty company and order the parts. The parts came in sooner than expected and Jamie was back at my house installing the replacement parts. He was efficient, very nice and I even got the maintenance plan. I will recommend the company again to anyone.

I had my HVAC & Water heater installed with this company 3 years ago, of course I spent a good amount of money on it. I chose them because it came with a 10 year manufacture warranty and 1 year labor. Upon installation, one of the technicians told me it was normal for the a/c system to run for a while. I didn't give it much thought but the following year when the system ran for a few hours to get the house cooled a few degrees I referred back to what the tech said and thought it was normal. The company never called at the end of year one to follow up or even offer a follow up visit. The same issue persisted last year. This year however, we turned on the ac during those 2 days of 80 degree weather we had a few weeks ago, and the ac did not cool off the house AT ALL. I called them out to check it, and was told the coil needed replacing because of a leak. The technician was nice and explained it all to me but I just couldn't shake the feeling that this was a shake down. I got another opinion and was told that the company should have followed up after the install or before the labor warranty ran out. I had 2 other contractors check the warranty that was supposed to be for 10 years and turns out the warranty was only for 1 year. The service manager was willing to honor it but wanted to charge me the equivalent of the cost of the part plus labor to fix it and claimed that it was a flat fee! The other 2 contractors quoted me for less than this company did "with the warranty" but it irritated me that they tried to tie me to them. Not only that, I decided to use one of other contractors that gave me a second opinion. The found NO LEAK at all, and that all the unit needed was refrigerant. My AC works fine now and they will even come back next week to follow up (which is how service should be done!)

I work in Real Estate and I would never personally refer this company to any of my clients or even to colleagues in commercial real estate.

On October 14, 2021 Bob Joyce from One Hour Heating and Air Conditioning came to do the Fall maintenance service on my HVAC system. He was on time, polite and courteous, wore protective booties on his work shoes, did the Fall maintenance service and replaced and removed the dirty air filter. I trust the workmanship from One Hour Heating and have an annual contract with them for my heating, plumbing and electrical.

Modern Mechanical /Benjamin Franklin Plumber Andrew M. did an excellent job repairing my leaking faucet and replaced the interior parts in my commode tank. I was very pleased with Andrew's professionalism and explaining about the parts. He was quick to complete the tasks and cleaned up after the repair. He also wore orange shoe covers to protect my floors which was greatly appreciated.

April 2019 Modern Mechanical/Benjamin Franklin Plumber Ronald W came and fixed/replaced the parts on my leaking irrigation system turn on/off valve. He was very professional and efficient and got the job done quickly. I feel confident using the services of Benjamin Plumbing.. I have repeatedly had consistently outstanding service. ; )

May 2019 Had my biannual service done on my heat and air conditioning system. My service technician was Jaime and he did a very thorough job and even made some upgrade recommendations. Very pleased with the service.

October 2019 Again, Jamie came and did my fall service on my heating system. Very thorough and asked if I had any concerns. Good listener. Very pleased with my service contract with Modern Mechanical.

The folks at Modern Mechanical did a great job. We initially called them because we had significant amounts of water leaking from our A/C. I suspected it was a rusted out evaporation coil drain pan. A couple technicians came out and confirmed that it was the issue. Since the fix required replacement they had a sales person meet with me. The lead sales guy was also very honest with us and didn't try to sell us a more expensive unit that we didn't need. Install was done well with great attention to detail. They even gave us a new thermostat when our old one was unable to control the new unit.

I was actually surprised to see not all 4-5 stars. Our experience from maintenance and fixes, to (recently) two brand new Carrier HVACs, was so great. I've told all of my neighbors (who saw the yellow truck outside!) about our experience because it was superior. I loved the alert as to who was coming to my home with their name and picture via text, the confirmation texts/emails, technicians who spent most of the day at our house installing the two new HVACs and then their follow up. Their warranty and customer service gave me incredible peace of mind.

Bill arrived at my house about 3 hours after my initial call on a Sunday afternoon. He was professional and very helpful in making decisions about my heat pump. There was no hard sell tactic for service contracts, in fact he directed me to the website to buy one but covered details with me. He gave me great advice about filters and I was only charged the service fee, even though he could easily have convinced me that I needed more difficult repairs. Honest, helpful, fast, and professional.

Jaime was exceptionally professional and courteous during his inspection visit today. In fact, I've never had any customer experience with Modern Mechanical (One Hour) that wasn't less than excellent. Jaime conducted a comprehensive inspection of our systems and provided ongoing feedback about what he was working on and where he would go next. He offered advice on what steps I should take to remedy any issues and made great suggestions that I followed. I always recommend Modern Mechanical to all my friends who might need HVAC assistance and have heard the same feedback about their customer experience.

We have been using this company since they started as Modern Mechanical and have never been disappointed. They are professional, communicate well, and very helpful. Recently we added a home air purifier and our tech, Adam, was delightful. They are trustworthy and do not come across as pushy sales people that you worry if they are messing with your system in order to sell you something. We highly recommend them!

Henry was awesome! He came very late on a Sat night after I know he had a long day and was patient and thorough in trying to determine our problem. Ultimately a part was needed and when he came back a few days later he was the again thorough and got our A/C working! So very nice and most importantly gave us an honest assessment of the system. I'd welcome him back anytime (although I hope I don't have to call again)! The entire team at Modern Mechanical was on point, responsive and kept me abreast of each step.
