Leaving a poor review is not something I take lightly as I know many people's lives go into an organization's productivity. My comments are primarily based upon the owner of SoCo being unwilling to talk to me about a recent replacement and several managers providing any reason within their grasp to charge a high rate. The technicians doing the work were all top notch. Our new hot water heater failed after only four years because the tank cracked. SoCo did the installation. The tank was covered by the manufacturer but the service was not. I understand mechanical equipment fails but I do expect a company to be accountable to an extent. I was charged $1,615 for the replacement installation, $129 for diagnosis and given a number of reasons why this was necessary. It took two technicians one hour to install the replacement. I initially asked to speak with the owner who originally talked me into using his company (when he knew we needed a new hot water heater) but he wouldn't call me back this time. We basically had no choice but to use SoCo Heating as we were without hot water for six days. Any company who doesn't value the feedback of its customers is not trustworthy. My ask was simply to be reasonable with their pricing as no one wins in this situation. On a side note, we shopped a new HVAC and Cooling system at Costco and the price was $7,000 less than SoCo Heating. I'll continue to steer clear of this company in the future and won't think twice about adding their Cozy Club membership as it feels like a good way to milk more cash out of customers.
The technician assigned was named Trevor. He was professional. He notified when he was arriving. He explained what he needed to do before he did it. After he finished he asked if I had any questions. I have always had a good experience with SoCo.
I needed to have a gas line installed so that we could have a gas stove delivered. I was trying to use another company but they were incredibly expensive and unresponsive. I called SoCo and they sent out an estimator (Josh) and even after adding a steam humidifier to the work order, there cost estimate was less than just a gas line install from the company I “fired.” Then a week later, Alejandro and Erik did an amazing job installing the new gas line and mounting the humidifier. I can’t say enough great things about SoCo…call them, you’ll be glad you did.
Trevor was so quick and helpful when I couldn't diagnose my HVAC issue on my own! He worked very quickly, was very informative, and he's also very friendly so we had a great time talking with him as well!
Erik and Alejandro installed a new furnace for me today. Their customer service, expertise and willingness to educate me about the process and product, and their work quality was superb! They were very personable, and ensured that I was happy with the product. I cannot recommend SOCO highly enough, and these two particular employees did a fantastic job.
We recently lost our furnace, SOCO came out 2 times to see if they could get our furnace working until we could get a new one. They did get it running for about a week then it really died. During that week we had 4 companies come give us a quote. SOCO was the only company that spoke about how the design flaws of the first install from the builder were not conducive to proper air flow and gave us a plan to help with our efficiency in the winter and summer as we have issues with our A/C too. In the end that was the reason we chose them along with the competitive pricing. They were able to get us installed within a few days. Alejandro and Erik were very professional. They covered our floors and stairs. They got in the new furnace in a matter of a few hours even though they had to re-work a few things. They didn't once try to upsell us, they just made it work with what we had. The best part is you couldn't even tell they were there. I love a team that leaves no trace. Many times we have to clean up after trades our in our home. Our heater has been working beautifully since. Thanks all!
EDIT: they actually saw my review and called me. They talked to us and actually sent someone out to do the repairs. We paid for the part and we’re actually really happy with the service. They didn’t argue with us about how they were right and we were wrong they simply said sorry and made sure the repairs were understood. The guy that came was really nice, professional and yeah. Things happen I’m just happy we got a repair. They actually went above and beyond expectations with ensuring the experience was good. We’re jut happy for repairs.
Original review: Yesterday we called to get the fan motor on our heater repaired and the tech refused to do the work. He simply looked at the unit, said it’s old, and said he would replace it but not even put an attempt to a repair. We still had to pay 130 for him to come in and refuse to repair our unit.
We said we wanted the fan repaired or we wanted him to leave and he chose to leave. He wanted to sell us an 8,000 dollar brand new unit and did not care about our own needs. I feel like I have been scammed.
Ditto to other recent posts, Alejandro and Erik were terrific! They arrived on time for a furnace and water heater replacement. Both were friendly, efficient, and professional during the entire installation process. Then took the time to answer questions and review operations of the new equipment. A minor hiccup occurred the next day, but they responded promptly to resolve the issue. Definitely recommend SoCo for your HVAC needs.
The best experience with this company. Got a new furnace and A/C installed the guys got to work first thing in the morning and worked all day. Super clean and professional. I believe the techs were ORO and Erik. And Shannon from the office super cool and professional too. Need something done that this company works with don't hesitate to call you won't regret your decision.
We are very happy with the services provided (we had both furnace and ac installed and our water heater replaced). The installation crews (we had both an electrical crew and then the water heater and HVAC crew) were very professional as well as very going out of their way to show me what they were doing (I was very involved). They all seemed to really enjoy their work and did a fantastic job.
