    Service technician was EXCELLENT. Safe - wore mask and gloves the entire time. Friendly, Professional, and thorough - showed me in detail everything he would be doing. Glad to do business with John Betlem ... you should too!

    I called because the hot water heater installed by John Betlem in April 2021 (along with a new furnace and AC unit) was not working. The pilot went out and would not relight. I was told about the cost of the service call when I called but I thought that would be applied towards the repair like it is for other companies I have used to service other items in my home. First, I am not happy because the technicians told me that the issue I had was a known issue with the water heater that was installed in my home. I would have thought John Betlem would have been proactive and contacted all the customers who they installed these water heaters for and offered to replace the part or at the very least would waive the service fee for these customers. I understand that the labor isn't covered under the warranty provided by the manufacturer and that would need to be paid. Second, I feel that having to pay for the service fee in addition to the labor for the repair is crazy. A few months ago I had another plumbing company come out for another issue. Their service fee was $49 versus $119 for John Betlem and if they did the work it was waived. In the future, if there are any other issues with my water heater, they will be who I call and not John Betlem! The only reason I did not call them is because John Betlem installed the hot water heater last year and I thought they would be the best ones to service it. In addition, for the past 20 years I have had John Betlem service my furnace (and now AC unit). My old hot water heater that was replaced in April 2021 was 24 years old and I never had an issue, it is very disappointing that a unit that was installed less than 18 months ago needed service this quick.

    JBHC fixed replaced our circuit board on our furnace. The two technicians who came out were very thorough in explaining exactly what was going on. They were honest and fixed our heat after being cold for a week! Highly recommend!

    I woke up cold one day and troubleshot as much as I could. I replaced the thermostat, but the furnace still wouldn't fully start. I reached out to John Betlem on a Wednesday and they were able to get a technician out by Friday. The technician, Colin Baker, called me 20 minutes before he came and arrived on the dot. I explained what I'd done and within minutes he was able to isolate the issue. While installing the new ignition unit, Colin was incredibly helpful in explaining the solution to me, as well as ensuring the unit was free of further issues. Colin was extremely professional, courteous and knowledgeable. If I have further concerns with my HVAC system I will not only reach back out to John Betlam but also ask specifically for Colin. 10 / 10 service.
