John Betlem Heating, Cooling and Electrical

I had a tankless water heater installed in my home by John Betlem, and the interior work was great. Unfortunately, the work on the outside of my house for the air intake/exhaust was less-than-stellar, as my brickwork was covered with cement that goes way beyond the area of the drilled masonry. The installed venting faces the street and is an eyesore made more so by the excess cement.

Update 5/3/22: After 3 months since installation, John Betlem finally addressed my dissatisfaction with the exterior appearance of the venting. It looks so much better now. Thank you for tidying up the installation for me.

Our technician, Miles, was excellent in every aspect of diagnosing our furnace issue. He was professional, thorough, knowledgeable and very patient explaining things to us so we could better understand what was being done.

Bob is so nice, his advice to make baseboards less noisy worked! Me and my newborn owe him! Thank you Bob!

Scott was amazing, and it’s probably true for most of the technicians, but when it’s almost $600 for a $40 part and 1.5 hours from “we’re coming” to invoice it’s a tough pill to swallow…

Maybe Scott is better than the average technician and did it much faster than expected? Either way this was really expensive.

Mike came by to give me an estimate. He was polite and very knowledgeable. He gave us a bid for a better furnace for less money than another company. There is an excellent chance we will be booking our installation because of Mike and with Betlam. We already know that John Betlam is a very reputable company from friends who do business with them.

I had a new furnace installed on January 21, one of the coldest days this season. Three men. Brian Brad and Nick were great! Worked efficiently and were polite and respectful. They cleaned everything up when they were finished. Steve was thorough and communicated with me when presenting the estimate and timeline. I would recommend John Betlem to my friends I have been a customer for years and have always had great service.

So I stupidly purchased the maintenance agreement thinking that they would schedule both my heater and air conditioning unit timely. They sent me a reminder text to schedule my AC maintenance but then tell me that they don’t have availability until the end of July. Nothing timely in that….

Year ago or more - I had a tankless water heater installed. Steve was very knowledgeable and was able to recommend the right system and have it installed in a timely manner. In addition he was able to help me apply for and receive Rebates which saved me money.

Colin has come a few years to do our furnace maintenance. He is always helpful, professional and personable. This last time we had an issue with our water tank (Endless or Tankless water tank was leaking). He took the time to look it over and repair it as well as updating our furnace which needed some new parts. He is an extremely kind and hard working person. We Highly recommend John Betlem.

Zach was very thorough, he needed a little assistance from Miles. Miles came out promptly and they finished our maintenance with no issues. Thanks for the excellent service!
